What’s Next For NodeSet?
It’s been six months since Constellation originally launched, and in that time, we’ve been very busy here at NodeSet. Let’s dive in and see what’s coming soon!

- NodeSet is launching a new private StakeWise vault with hundreds of thousands of ETH of deposits expected over the next two quarters
- We will also launch a public StakeWise vault in the next few months which will provide more features than Constellation for depositors
- Constellation will continue to work indefinitely
- Gravita will be exiting Constellation validators to ensure liquidity as necessary
- Constellation will no longer receive new code upgrades
- Hyperdrive 2.0 is almost ready and will make developing for NodeSet very easy for anyone
- Many other projects are in the works that we will share more about as they get closer to launch
Decentralized Staking with NodeSet
New StakeWise Vaults
We’re excited to announce that NodeSet has begun public testing for a new version of our StakeWise integration in preparation for the launch of a private ETH staking vault next week! This vault has several hundred thousand ETH already committed for deployment throughout the coming months and will be launched next week. At that time, NodeSet operators will be able to begin their non-custodial service for these assets. If you are a NodeSet operator, make sure you update to the latest version of Hyperdrive to begin your testing on Hoodi today to be ready!
In addition, once StakeWise has released a planned update to their client software to allow NodeSet to easily operate multiple vaults, we will also launch a public staking vault to allow anyone to take advantage of our uniquely decentralized ETH staking services. Stay tuned for more information on this.
Why StakeWise?
StakeWise is a battle-tested staking product with a number of unique features and benefits. As we spoke with ETH holders over the last few quarters, it became clear that a NodeSet-powered vault on StakeWise met all of their needs without compromise. Therefore, StakeWise is the ideal platform to leverage for future NodeSet offerings. Key characteristics and features include:

What’s happening with Constellation?
Since launching Constellation last year, NodeSet has been servicing approximately 20,000 ETH staked on through the Rocket Pool ecosystem in partnership with Gravita. However, the rETH supply has been slowly decreasing for some time. Constellation requires rETH mints to fuel its growth, so Gravita has informed us that they will pause the effort to integrate xrETH and xRPL across the ecosystem. Until there is higher demand for rETH, Gravita has authorized NodeSet to exit minipools as needed to ensure liquidity for xrETH holders.
In light of Gravita’s decision and the situation with Rocket Pool generally, NodeSet has decided to forgo any further work on the Constellation codebase. If rETH conditions improve, we will take another look. In the meantime, xrETH and xRPL holders can feel confident that we will continue to serve existing minipools in Gravita’s Constellation as usual.
Hyperdrive 2.0
Right after the Constellation compatibility for Hyperdrive 1.x was released last year, the client team has been hard at work preparing for Hyperdrive 2.0. This upgrade will represent a huge step towards our ultimate vision of a fully modularized, universal node client manager. Hyperdrive 2.0 is almost ready, and we’ll be discussing it a bit more once we get closer to launch.
Future Projects
In addition to the above, we have a number of other projects in flight behind the scenes that we are excited to share more about when the time is right. Hyperdrive 2.0 will dramatically accelerate our capability to release new features, so we expect to see several more integrations come online throughout the rest of the year. These include new opportunities for operators, enhancements for existing services, and other exciting features that further improve the value of the NodeSet operator network.
